Weymouth Recreation is again joining forces with the Weymouth Police Department in presenting the Junior Police Academy to Weymouth youth entering 5th grade in September. Officer Bob Barry is retiring, but will continue to be involved in the Junior Police Academy behind the scenes. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with Weymouth Police Officers while getting hands-on experience in activities such as: Accident and Crime Scene Investigations, archery, physical training, obstacle course & more. The group may travel off-site to certain special destinations (details TBD!). Music, safety, skits and sports are just some of the fun activities – and there will be many surprises!The Junior Police Academy will be held the week of July 7 - July 11, 2014.Special Jr. Police Academy Instructions:We will fill the spots for this popular program by lottery. Applications will be distributed through the schools.Further details will be announced in our April 4th flyer.
