Great Esker Park Adventure Day Trips


Esker Adventure Programs provide unique opportunities to take part in outdoor activities, connect with nature, and offer a reprieve from technology. Each program offers participants a natural setting to engage in outdoor activities such as biking, fishing, and family canoeing.

Descriptions
  • Family Canoeing - Enjoy the Back River's fall foliage from the waters point of view. Participants should be able to paddle a canoe without difficulty. Staff will be out on the water to showcase and highlight the beauty of the Great Esker waterway. All participants MUST wear a Coast Guard Approved Life jacket. Weymouth Recreation will have life jackets available for everyone. This trip is timed during high tide to avoid fast moving water.
  • Fishing - For kids ages 8-12. Similar to our summer Fishing trips, we will meet at Great Esker Park, load up on a van and travel to a local pond to spend a few hours reeling them in! We will supply fishing rods and bait.
  • Biking - For kids ages 8-12, we will travel to Wompatuck State Park and spend a few hours riding around in the fresh crisp October air. We will supply the bikes. Please bring your own helmet and water bottle.
